Setting the right grip height on your rollator should be one of the first things to consider before you start using it. It is important to adjust the handles correctly to ensure a good and upright posture while walking.

You can determine the correct grip height by doing as follows, as recommended by all physiotherapists and all rollator manufacturers:

1. Stand upright next to your Veloped, with your back as straight as possible, with your shoes on and with your arms hanging in a relaxed state along your body (elbow slightly bent).
2. Measure the vertical distance from the floor to your wrist bone = recommended grip height.
   
   

With the grips at wrist height, as strongly recommended;

1. You do not have to raise your shoulders, and you can unload a greater part of your body weight.
2. You can walk closer to the handgrips, which results in a more upright body posture.
3. The weight you put on the grips is distributed vertically/downwards = better weight distribution = good stability = better brake performance when walking downhill on loose ground (the tires do not slide when braking).
